For those who are moaning about our start this season...
Now that you can't blame the board (because the money has been given) and you can't blame the managers (we got rid of Slav and Moyes) and you can't blame the team from last season (because we have 10 new players) just stop blaming anything -- and start supporting the team!
Our start isn't 'typical West Ham' because that team and that management no longer exists. It's not the manager or the board to blame, it's just the way it is. New players and a new manager will take time to settle in, and PeleG is no mug. As soon as we get points on the board things will get better. We have maybe one position to sort out in DM.

Re: For those who are moaning about our start this season...
Our purchases in the summer were terrible no logic behind them. We must have the lowest outfield 11 in the league there no fluidity in our play at all.

We was crying out for a center mid and decent center back and both the positions we bought rubbish. Diop obviously not fancied as why would you put a 20m signing on the bench.

Belbeanu or whatever a donkey and should never play again

Arthur needs to be shot he aint a left back

Noble and Willshire cant play together 2 absolute Donkeys in the middle of the park.

and why the fuck was snoddy even in squad never mind the starting 11 shocking.

Only plus from that game was Sanchez wen he come on looked ok apart from that the performance was awful should of lost by 4 or 5

Re: For those who are moaning about our start this season...
The 'one' position that needs sorting out is the one that's been in glaring need to even an idiot for the last two years.

And still it wasn't. That really pisses me off. And it's not like we haven't had the opportunity to either. What's worrying is that IF Pellegrini watched us since winter and only got Sanchez in as perhaps an afterthought for that position, then i have to question his judgement a bit.

It's no good buying this and that exciting attacker when you don;t have a good foundation for the team. The Germans say it about the English football team. We concentrate too much on trying to add the fancy decorations than getting a good tree in the first place.

I am happy to give the manager time to get the team up to scratch but without wanting to be accessed of being a knee-jerk, pants wetting moaner - I do have one major reservation.

We cannot expect a high pressing 4-4-2 with the central defence or midfield we have played in the first two matches.

Oggy/Balbuena are the same type of defender and Noble/Wilshere are a similar profile midfielder. The core of the team need contrasting styles which complement each other.

They also need a bit of pace, mobility and dynamism.

The current configuration won't allow that. They were shattered by half time.

My tuppence worth.

I drink my tea

Pellegrini needs time to get it right and he will get it. But, I do agree with most, he isn't doping himself any favours at the moment.

Of course, our abysmal start isn't the team' s fault. It's ours for not "supporting" them. Do fuck off please.

Agreed Pell should be given a chance but he didn't help himself with his 'team' selection. Bournemouth have pace and teamwork and to put out a side with a load of 'pensioners' in it was not what I expected.

To drop Fredericks, Rice and Antonio is pretty pathetic really and where the hell is Diop. Perhaps his plan was to demonstrate to the fans that the likes of Noble, Snodgrass, Zabaleta and even Ogbonna were past it, well mission complete now get on with the job!

Im not defending the board. I fucking hate them!

Starting at the end of last season the likely scenario we expected was keep moyes (cheap) and give him fuck all money to spend.

Re: For those who are moaning about our start this season...
The only good thing about this is that MP knows he can’t fuck about. He didn’t get a lucky win that papers over the cracks. We’ve been thoroughly beaten twice now. And looking at how arsenal are playing I don’t think we can expect anything from that either.

So either MP does his best work he’s ever done in his life or he’s gone. We have the players now so it’s not the squad. Hodgson has done well with palace so it’s not to do with age. The wolves game will tell us everything we need to know about our season. We have to win there.

Re: For those who are moaning about our start this season...
We ( Pellegrini) did not strengthen in the central midfield simple as that
You need pace and strength allied to good technique
We would have been better off buying 2 top quality central midfielders. Both with pace and “legs” that press relentlessly

5 successive managers have overlooked this area or made it a low priority

It’s the fulcrum / core of any good team along with CBs . The proverbial spine :-(

The manager does not deviate from a 4-4-2 so from a very brief moment of hope preseason I am back to deep pessimism. I just wanted a season where there were no relegation concerns. Was that too much to ask?

We are cursed! Me grandad and dad said so and I have seen 7 decent seasons in 60 and can confirm they are right. The West Ham way I guess :-(

Re: For those who are moaning about our start this season...
See what happens further down the line after the players (new lads) have settled and are used to the pace of the prem.

Bit silly really panicking and moaning after two games, as I'm sure none of us really believed we would be winning anything anyway.

Find it odd that Diop isn't starting and there is clearly a monstrous issue in midfield, but hopefully he'll rectify that soon and realise it won't ever work playing the likes of Noble, Wilshere and Snodgrass together, as I'm quicker than all of them aged 44!

Trevor B

I'm all for looking at the positive of the new signings only 2 games
The key positions CM and CB

Wilshire and Sanchez

Balbuena and Diop

According to Villa fans and Tony Cottee, Sanchez is not best CM

Diop I have seen him play but I have not heard any decent reviews

I'm not entirely sure how we have had a scattergun approach to transfers, by all accounts the players that were brought in were the ones targeted by the manager and in the positions he wanted to strengthen,

Alfs Most of our supporters won't give any manager a chance or the time to build a team.

Bilic, Moyes out every time we lost last season

We have had an Everton syndrome a scattergun transfers approach

Better more decent players in our squad than last season

Re: For those who are moaning about our start this season...
I'm probably one of the least pessimistic WHOers here and have supported manager after manager, hoping that they would turn the club around.

Saying that, I am seriously disappointed, not just by the the two shit results but also the shit football that we've played after spending 100 million.

We'll be in the bottom three after eight games, mark my words. Yes, partly due to an horrendous set of fixtures but also because of a lack of cohesive planning over the past few years.

The club needs forward thinking owners and a manager with an insight of how to BUILD a TEAM.

At present, it seems like a mess. Pelle was greeted with a great deal of excitement but he is in the autumn of his career, which is why he was in China.

For me, it was another vanity move. Like getting a washed up actor to star in your movie, hoping to get bums on seats.

How much settling in time will Anderson need before he is able to beat a defender?

I absolutely breezed through the security gates @ 2:55pm and it was the main one at the bridge, the easiest it's been for me.

I was told there was long ques again at the security gates, main entrance? Lots missed the first 20 minutes again? How long do you expect it to take to get off the underground and get in your seat? 1 hour?
